Flash MX = borken mouse when first beginning.

The link says it was fractionally behind the cable one.

I agree, they are superb, and no more fluff build ups

They tend to get through batteries like anything, b/c they are always on and trying to handshake with the receiver. Some now come with a mousetrap charger - plonk it on there when you're not using it to recharge. If yours is not one of them, suggest you invest in some rechargeable batteries and charger.

About time someone designed one with a sleep function, so if the mouse isn't moved for, say, 15 minutes it switches off, coming back on again when moved/clicked.

I heard they were more than a bit heavy on batteries, especially as I dont think they have any sort of docking station capability. They are also shunned by hardcore gamers, as they are 'supposedly' not accurate enough.

As an Intellimouse Explorer user I'd definitely recommend getting a ratpad/everglide or similar mouse mat. I use a mouse bungee with the Explorer and its almost as good as having wireless; deffo keeps the cable from being tangled up in frantic games

Let me know how you get on with the rail-gun though Si

No way ! flash is brilliant, its the 1st thing that i've enjoyed learning in a long time.

You could say it got worn out............

punch after punch It wasnt coping with detailed work, kept juddering etc jumping frames, so the time came to buy it.

Highly recommended

Si

Sod the wireless, eats batteries. Just get the optical 'wired' equivalent. The wire isn't a hassel if you'v got a decent desk.

My wireless with ball was great and only used a set of betteries every nine months.

I took it apart when a button was sticking - not recommended, it is now very dead

Wireless Optical MS Intellimouse - pffft

They are shi te, I had one for about 2 months - they lag, judder, and eat batteries like subarus eat petrol - it will drive you mad in the end - get a wired up optical one instead - it'll make you so good at Counter Strike all your friends will accuse you of cheating.......
