Birdy,
You is a slag and should never have been sold a computer. Go fit a kitchen or something, much safer for all of us
Seriously, I'm guessing that the AOL software has a problem with certain types of page content, e.g. Flash movies or Java apps.
I really don't know enough about the AOL software to really advise what you could do. My only suggestion would be to try reinstalling the AOL software, assuming you can backup your settings etc. first.
Sorry buddy, not much help I know.
Someone will be along in a minute to tell you not to use AOL at all. And I might have to agree with them
Cheers
Ian

Apart from the obvious ( don't use AOL ) have you tried ..
1. Using AOL to connect, minimise that and use IE for browsing.
2. (re) install the Java VM .
2.1 You may be able to uninstall the current one and get it from windozeupdate, or
2.2 Use the Sun version
Steve
caveat: if you fsck it up completely doing any of the above, don't blame me

I use AOL all the time and everytime I try and browse the internet in AOl it crashes.
However, if I use Internet Explorer and browse the internet it works fine without error.

The only concievable reason to have AOL is that you have an NTL phone and can't get broadband. I know, I've been there. If you can get NTL broadband, get it. If you have a BT line, get rid of AOL.
Apart from anything else, nothing destroys your street cred more than having @AOL.co.uk at the end of your email address

I'm having to use AOL dial-up at the moment (for the 100 free hours phone calls) till feckin BT sort my broadband.
The whole thing makes my skin creep - "Welcome to AOL" "You have mail" "Goodbye" - American w@nk - agree about the @aol email address - tres uncool.
Bet it's going to be a nightmare to cancel when I've had my 100 hours.

I honestly don't see what is so wrong with AOL. So many people moan about it but I have used it for years without (two many) problems. Connection is normally about 50k and it is usually reliable.
Either way, NTL broadband is on order to be installed late this month as dial up is to slow and I have a NTL phone line.
