Toca Race Driver - PC and XBOX news

The PC version of Codemasters' forthcoming racer will feature a number of enhancements on the PS2 version.
Codemasters has today announced that the PC version of Pro Race Driver, which is scheduled for release in November, will incorporate improved sound and a number of features not found in the PS2 version of the game. It's not clear at this time whether any of the new features will make it into the Xbox version, which won't be arriving in stores until February 2003.
The first improvement over the PS2 version that players will notice in the game's single-player story mode is that instead of having 14 cars on the circuit at any one time, there will be an impressive 20. Players will also get to qualify for grid positions before championship races--a feature strangely absent from the PS2 version.
More impressive still is the fact that it'll be possible for up to 20 players to compete simultaneously online. The AI in the single-player game is impressive, but the prospect of racing against a full field of human opponents is exciting, to say the least.
Pro Race Driver for the PC is scheduled for release on November 22, although online and network play won't be available until 2003. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.

Dont get too excited druddle, it's very average to say the least. I really liked it at first but after 2 weeks it is now in the "to swap" pile.
Played it again yesterday - just too unrealistic, and the Xbox version is a straight port.
