Unhappy

Just installed full retail version. Was really excited as this had been on back order with play.com for months. We play the original on the LAN all the time.

Well, fr1ckin thing drops straight back to desktop when run in normal or safe mode.

[rant]Apparently this is due to the cd copy protection system. Well what the **** good is a copy protection system that is so sensitive you cant use the darn software.[/rant]

I have installed the latest video drivers. Messed with memeory setting. Messed with display res and refresh. Still no joy.

Great marketing. What they save in pirated disks they will loose in genuine revenue. The average man on the street will have taken it back and had his money back by now.

Anyone got any ideas?

System spec: -

Win 2K Pro SPK3
Plenty of HDD space
256Mb RAM
NVidia GeForce2 MX/MX400 32Mb (default settings 1280x1024 at 75Mhz)

Cheers

Matt

I believe there's already a no-CD crack out for the game. Search astalavista.box.sk.

I have it working now with the no cd-crack.

Be warned. Lots of **** popups etc so make sure the boss/wife (same thing?) are not looking over your shoulder
