Yes was one of the closed beta testers for it. Currently playing it as well. It's not quite like elite as you don't actually have full 'cockpit' control of your ship, thing like collisions are notmonitored for. That said it's great fun, very easy to get into (if you follow and listen to the in game teachings at the start), the dynamic story has yet to kick off yet they are still getting everyone settled in. You can easily team up with other players to make missions you are required to do easier.
It is a very adictive game IMHO, prepare to spend a lot of time playing!

Downloaded the character generator, I'll get round to buying the game to play sometime soon.

I agree though, looks rather good!
