Windows 2000 sp2 / Exchange 2000 / Backup Exec 8.6
Keep getting a failed backup on one server cos
"The Exchange Store service is not responding."
This is a network backup as Exchange is on another box, the job suceeds about twice a week, but usually fails.

It's listed on the Veritas website as a known problem - but with no solution
All the other servers are ok - anyone had the same / any thoughts.

My customer dropped backup exec for exchange in favour of Legato. In general we are recomending Net Backup rather than backup exec for Exchange 2K because it scales better and is written from an enterprise perspective rather than as a point solution for departmental servers.

Not much help to your current issue!

Yeah - I don't rate it either.
On this one server, I can backup the exchange store ok on its own, but when its with the rest of the backup it fails.
I suppose I can just submit two jobs and that'll do the trick at the end of the day.
