Can anyone recommend anyone offering completly free webspace, no registration fees etc.
I am ideally looking for space that doesn't have banners, pop ups, ads etc

Why would any company offer such a service if they don't get paid for it, either through you paying or through banner ads??
If you want a cheap and banner free hosting service try www.eurotastic.com - £3.91 per month + they actually provide a decent service.
