HHxx - what do you think of VM ware...I like it, escpecially the new XP version. It's much quicker than the older versions. I like the network options as well, NAT, host only etc

Hi Shunty,
I haven't tried the new version yet. But I use if to run legacy software which only likes 9x type os. I also have a linux install running, so I can play about without breaking a production server

the linux install stuff looks good, my mate is a bit of a linux bod..not me though.

Ta Shunty, I'll download the latest version and see how far I get I'll let you know
jlanng, another option is another hd. Depending on how your ide channels are set up etc... you can do a fresh plain install on the other hd without messing W2k up.

ive used PM7 3-4 times.
with XP, 98 and Win2k Pro
Every single times its gone **** up!
Given up now, i use fdisk or the Win setup for partitioning
