Copying to CD with XP
Hi, anyone help please?
I'm really annoyed with the way that XP makes you:
a) copy files to CD THEN
b) go through some crap 'writing files to CD' wizard THEN
c) have to eject/insert the CD for XP to recognise that the files have been copied.

I just want to use the CD writer as a normal drive (i.e. save word docs to it, copy mp3's to it etc.) without this wixard crap. I've seen it done b4 on previous versions of windows (i.e. it behaves just like any other drive does) which is what I want it to do.
Someone help soon please b4 I get a gun and go and shoot Bill Gates. (I'm actually joking I think
)
Thanks in advance.

XP's built in CD burning app is cack.
Get yourself a copy of Roxio EZCD or Nero. Then u can use packetcd (Roxio) or DirectCD (Nero) to make your CD's work like mini Harddiscs. This works best with re-writable CD's. Then u can drag/drop/delete n add files to the CDRW as you would on your HDD.
Otherwise its pretty much the same when u make a Data/Audio CD on a normal CDR, with wizards etc.
