Right Im running currently
Pentium 4 Northwoods 1800Mhz but im off to see if it will hack 2.4.
512mb RD RAM (2*256) just adding it 800mhz stuff Samsung
Abit TH7 II raid Motherboard
Ibm Desk star 82.3 GB
Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy
Geforce 2 64mb Ti.
To overclock i need to use the Softmenu, but when i did it when i built it PC it didnt like my CPU, BIOS kept saying Unworkable CPU at boot up. i think the multipliers etc werent right.
I dont know what they are so i dont know if there usful items. Such as the 100mhz or 133mhz,is that regarding the FSB??
Thanks Simon

A couple of URL's for you to read up on overclocking before starting.
what you will need to do to start is to turn of the CPU Autodetection, and enable the softmenu.
I take no responsibility if/when you **** it up

Aren't the northwoods clock-locked ?
In that case you'll have to increase the FSB speed and tinker with the AGP settings to keep the bus stable.
This should get you started
Don't blame me if there's a nasty burning smell though.

With at least the Abit and Epox boards, if you have either been silly and not gradually adjusted the fsb/voltage accordingly or for whatever reason the rig will no longer fire up into the bios, then power on whilst holding the insert key down. This will load cpu defaults for a normal boot.
Cheers,
Nick.
