Thumbs up

Photographer mate of mine has a 35mm film scanner. Different to a normal scanner, just slot in the film and scan away. Not sure if you could do the same with a flatbed scanner . . . .

You really want a dedicated slide / film scanner as these are around 2880 DPI, which is closer to the emulsion of the film.

I remember the HP scanners used to have options for 35mm slides on some of their scanners.

Have a look at the HP site.

The price will depend on what resolution you want to scan the images at.

If you want to do it properly then (as Chiark suggests) you're better off with a dedicated one. The Nikon ones are pretty good (up to 4000dpi)
