OK folks, whaddaya reckon, trackball or mouse?

Looking at the ms explorer optical mouse or trackball. Wife is left-handed, so thinking that the trackball may be the better option...

Are they ok for games, and accurate for art stuff?

LH peeps can still use an ordinary mouse

A wireless one makes it dead easy to just put it on the side of the keyboard you want.

An optical one means you don't need a mat (on either side), and you dont have to clean the mouse ball rollers.

...so I was thinking of the logitech optical wireless mouse, but its a bit expensive at circa £50...anyone got one?

I use a MS Optical mouse (specifically the IntelliMouse Explorer). OK, it is wired but I can't be arsed with wireless keyboards/mice as the batteries need changing etc.

Love my mouse, never need to clean it, well, not until the mouse buttons won't click anymore because of build up of that unknown grey stuff (yuch!)

Cheers

They are fab for me, as I'm right handed. She'll just have to learn to use the mouse (or trackball) right handed as both the MS optical trackball and MS Intellimouse explorer are right handed only. Tough.

The Winnie the Pooh thing is going in the bin
