Right, don't know diddly about this program unfortunately so here goes...

Previously our CAD bloke was using AutoCAD 2000. In this he could create curved (arc) text.

Problem is, he can't seem to find this option in the new version?

I've already RTFM and STFW but I'm not having any joy Can anyone shove me in the right direction?

Any pointers appreciated,

Cheers,

Ian

Right, when I open a file in 2002 LT which has had this arc aligned text applied in v2000 I get the following message:

"The last command created proxy objects and proxy entities to represent original objects and entities whose parent ARX application(s) are not loaded.

These proxy objects and entities may yield unexpected results during certain operations.

Missing Application: ATEXT
Total number of proxies: 4"

Any use???

Ian,

If read your post correctly you have gone from AutoCAD 2000 to AutoCAD 2002 LT?

The command Arctext is part of a group of add-on tools called Express tools (used to be called Bonus Tools) these tools will not run in AutoCAD LT But only in the full version of AutoCAD.

Ian,

Just thought, I have an old lisp routine that will align text to an arc, but if remember correctly the older versions of AutoCAD LT will not run lisp routines. There was talk of Autodesk including the lisp load function in LT, so if you look in the tools drop down menu there may be a Load lisp or load Autolisp option let me know if it does and I can send it to you.

If not give up and suggest they keep the text straight as it looks better that way.

Potz,

There would appear not be It wouldn't be such a problem but my company make super precision bearings and the drawings have to show the markings which are laser etched around the faces.

Thanks for the offer though.
