scan! forgot about them!

im pissed off with the raid with windows on it.

Dont think the drivers are right, and linux wont mount on it.

so little drive then for both OS's.

then 80gb raid for programs gaming etc never need upgrading 100gb!

cheapest : 41.1Gb IBM Deskstar 120GXP "Vancouver" ATA-100 (7200rpm, 2MB Cache, 8.5ms) 49.50 58.16

Had a quick look about, but you would be hard pushed to find many 20gb drives on the cheap nowadays because they are small*.

I would just shop about for a good 40gb, because once you get it formatted it'll be less anyway

If the RAID is pishing you off, why not break the RAID and have two discs, one Windows, one Linux ?

Cheers

Ian

* I remember paying £385 for a 120mb disc and that only seems a few years ago (ah, the olde days)

price doesnt bother me really, well 20gb for £50 does!

its more the components i want good ones really.

think ill get a bigger drive and better drive, sell the two 40's buy a matching bigger drive, better raid controller then run them.

Sell mobo ram n cpu get better aswell

Infinite over draft

You, Si, are one mad box of frogs. Did you ever read the Hardy boys? Chet Atkins... that's you that is.
(probably before your time).
