I got a quote from the BT web pages of £250 to do this upgrade!!!

I understand that they will have to uninstall Home Highway but doesn't this seem a little steep?

I dumped them becuase of this.

My 12-month (or was it 24-months?) contract was tied to both the individual and the property. When I moved, I was willing to pay for reinstallation or an upgrade to ADSL and stay within the contract term, but BT insisted that the contract had to be cancelled, the outstanding line rental paid, and a new install (of whatever) carried out at full price at the new property. So I dropped them and moved to Blueyonder.

Check how far into your contract you are. It could be the outstanding line rental that's making this steep.

Cheers

Lee.
