Anyone seen this and know how to cure it?

I've recently applied W2K SP3 and it appears to have busted my IE6. It will browse to a page, you click on a link to go to the next page, and the next etc. After about 4 clicks it refuses to respond anymore, if I close IE, open a new one and carry on, I'm ok for about 5 links again.

Clearly this makes browsing a nightmare, and makes e-commerce transactions etc. impossible!

I decided I'd de-install and re-install IE6, but it doesn't appear in Add/Remove programs, so I found http://support.microsoft.com/default...EN-US;Q293907&

which suggests doing a

rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g "C:\WINDOWS\IE Uninstall Log.Txt"

to 'repair' IE6. This has not fixed the problem.

Anyone got any ideas, as I'm stumped.

TIA,

Alex

The last time I had a problem with Internet Explorer I just installed in straight over the previous version. After that Internet Explorer worked just fine.

Just a suggestion
