Thumbs down

Tried to install MOHAA and had some probs so tried to uninstall it. Eerything seemed to work but now when i retry to install it, it will only let me modify, update or remove but there is nothing there! All files and folders with MOHAA have been deleted (i did a search) but don't know what to try next. Can somebody fix (this probably simple) problem. Many thanks to anybody who helps.

i had a similar thing with W2k and norton antivirus. when installing the norton i got the blue screen of death and it would not let me install norton AV again. i think there must be a log file that prevents it being installed if something went wrong - this is only a guess. in the end i installed norton firewall, for some strange reason i could then install the antivirus.

have you gone to the add/remove progs or just used the uninstall in the start/programs?

I've got the same problem with a piece of software called PowerVCD.
I uninstalled it via Add/Remove etc. It claims to complete, but dosen't remove it from the list.
Bloody annoying. At this rate, my programs list will bear no relation to what I actually have installed.
Suspect a registry modification via regedit is required. Haven't bothered to look into yet though.
