Fraid I'm pure Cisco - as to the switch - tell me your budget
Would typically recommend Cat 6509s in the comms rooms. Prob Cat 4003/6 for larger floors - 2900 if theres < 20 ports.
But given a chance and I'll spend as much as possible (for future proofing )
Edit: Current Job is more routing. Prev Job involved plenty of building infrastructures.

The reason you're still here is we do help. The level of expertise that can be gleaned from this board is (pleasantly) surprising. However most of us are doing it to earn our living and help on here 'cos it breaks the tedium of the day up. It can be frustrating for people to feel they are explaining the same hings over and over and over again - We're techys - not trainers.
The other thing that relieves the boredom is taking the ****...and lets face it, more than once you set yourself up for it in new ways we can only marvel at

I just nabbed the most recent Redhat ISO from www.mirror.ac.uk and burned it with easy cd creator. Turned on pc, went into bios to check boot from cd was highest priority. bunged cd in drive and away it goes, 'nice' easy gui install for n00bs
p.s. UseFreeBSD

david, one of my mate had the same problem with redhat 7.3 iso image. i think he went to another FTP site and downloaded it and it was fine.
si, the way to learn is RTFM and STFW. in short, lots of reading and do your research on the web. the internet is a wonderful place to be and you got the advantage. when i started computer, it was all command line and there's no luxury of the internet to help me out.
life is cruel, life is hard, you will learn it either way. if you want respect, you got to earn it. dont post useless stuff like a dot! people in this forum will help you but you need to give as much information as possible.

Uhm, it's like just a few clicks from the front page, but: http://www.mirror.ac.uk/sites/ftp.re...3/en/iso/i386/ There's 3 ISOs, not sure which ones you need these days to install it (yes redhat is that bloated!), but at least the first two iirc.
