Installing 2k ickle prob

Right......basically it died last night, i deleted partition, re created a 30/10gb partition
set A active,
Put 2k in the CD drive, let mobo boot it, says its invalid disk!which it isnt
Got around that, then it came up with blue screen saying cannot install blag blag blag
Whats the command to format the MBR?
a:\>format /mbr?
