From: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?
Post

Just been given a sonic wall box which had a blown psu and surface mount fuse.... I replaced the surface mount fuse with A slightly larger external fuse However the Lan Link light stays lit.. Do you reckon its off in the bin now?

David

Edited to add that slightly larger only means physical size!

David - ours did this so someone here soldered the fuse connections with wire instead of the fuse, and it works fine now.

Ours doesn't like heat, and can play up when it gets very hot... doh, firewall, heat

Simon.

dont know... no model number on it... just a small box size of mini hub... two rj45s external 5v psu... reset button on the back... make any sense?

I replaced the fuse with a normal sized fuse with some wire soldered to the end of it... it powers up but... was wondering if they can be re flashed or something

You can set it back to factory defaults ....

With the power off press and hold the reset button, power on the box and wait .....wait.....once the test light goes out you can release the button....

The default lan IP address is 192.168.168.168

HTTP to the box and then use userid admin with a blank password.

This is the standard Wallis method of trying to fix things, innit? Put a standard plug fuse in there, turn it on again...

...wait for the bang :P

same thing with car engines - sounding a bit funny - rev it harder and see if it goes away....

Nick.. p1ss off... its just I have more of the conventional sized fuses.... better than a nail or a bit of wire.. especially if your just testing and expect it to blow again!

David

Ps... Cheers Jeff
