Free ISP with BT Surftime?
#1
Does anyone know if any of the ISPs that support BT Surftime (i.e. have an 0844 access number) are free? Or are they all subscription only? The couple I've checked out so far appear to be around £10 per month, in addition to the BT Surftime charge of around £7...

if you are after un-metered internet access via a 0808 freefone number, it can go down as low as £7.99/month for 24/7 access[1]. have a look at ISP Review for who is offering what .
[1] condition applies like 2 hours cut-off, etc, etc.

BTOpenworld aren't bad - I pay £6 per month (I think) on top of the SurfTime charge. I've heard of loads of problems connecting, but I've never had one (been with them for about 5 months now). Usually connect at 46kbps.
