If a friend
were to have a VCD copy of a film and was trying to play it on his PC how would he go about it?
He
has WinDVD2000 and interactual DVD and Windows Media Player
and cannot get the feckin thing to play ????

Depends on the codec required. Is it a proper VCD?

Open the MPGAV folder, right click on the .DAT file and open with Media Player.

I use a free app called QuickVCD.
It is avil from winfiles.com

Drag the aviseq01.dat (or something
) file into your player.
