For lots of reasons I won't bore people with I want to blow away my boot partition and re-install XP.

Is there a way to do this? when I've tried it before it has said I can't delete C during the install process and it has temp files on there that is has copied.

cheers,

greg

Thumbs up

if you boot from the cd, you should be able to delete the partition. else do a bootable floppy from dos/win95/win98 and copy fdisk.exe into the floppy.

You can download bootdisk images from www.bootdisk.com - not sure if they work with NTFS partitions though.

They allow you to create a bootable floppy and then run fdisk to blat your entire drive.
