Hi All.

I'm thinking of getting the 'Vision Gold' from Multivision.
Anyone bought or have some kind of opinion of this system? It got a 10/10 review in PC Plus/Pro/Something Mag recently.

My main question is, is the MSI K7T266A Pro2 motherboard any good? I don't want to overclock or anything, just want a nice reliable and preferably pretty future proof PC.

Cheers,
Ben

I got great service from MSI when I had a problem with my MB, they answered all of my E-Mail questions, and the board was about 3 years old.

Just received my MSI KT3 Ultra-ARU board this morning, waiting for a couple of other bits, like a Gainward TI4200 GS 128Mb Graphics card and I'll have one monster PC

the temperature is 30degs lower then it should be

Youll notice that the p4's run at 10degs according to it

other then that my mates seems to run quite fast

That MSI board is amongst the cream of the crop running the VIA KT266A chipset.
Not the best for overclocking (still good tho), but you aren't interested in that anyway. The stability of this board is very good, up with Asus, Abit and Epox variants running this chipset. The fact that it is using the A revision is very good, as the the KT266 chipset had pretty poor memory performance. The A revision sorted this out and runs the memory very well.
Unfortunatly, it doesn't come with USB 2.0 support, unlike it's bigger brother, the RU, but that doesn't really matter.

The package looks good mate, but don't stangle it with that nasty mx graphics card.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Nick

MSI were utter crap when my M/board had problems. So if you are concerned with the after sales service take note! I will not buy a MSI product again, ever.

Errrr, he doesn't need to worry about though as he is buying at as a Branded PC, with 2yr Onsite P/L Warranty and 3yrs RTB L/O according to their website, so he would be dealing through them, not MSI.
