Help with IE6 and scoobynet
#1
Hey up,
For the last few days I have noticed the "reply" button at the bottom of posts has dissapeared along with the links to take you straight to the 2nd or 3rd pages of a post. I have had no problems on other BBs/web sites. I am running XP with IE6,
any ideas ??
Oh and remember I might not be able to reply to this post
Thanks

I'm with MegaStream - usual culprit is part of Norton.
If you want to reply and can view a thread
http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/threa...hreadid=108760
change "thread" to reply ie
http://www.scoobynet.co.uk/bbs/reply...hreadid=108760

In its standard setup, Norton Firewall's AdBlocking will do this, and it knocks out a few other buttons - because it sees "adid" in the URL.
The solution it to allow the HTML string "threadid" for www.scoobynet.co.uk.

And as if by magic, the "Reply" button appears
Spot on Mark I have disabled the ad blocking in norton,
I have looked in the advanced properties for the ad blocking and through all the HTML strings that are blocked but cant find any referance to threadid or www.scoobynet, might it be shown as someting else ??

It's blocking because it sees "adid=". In advanced options, add the site "scoobynet.co.uk", then add the HTML string "threadid" to the list of permitted items on the AdBlocking tab.
