I presume that this is about debt collection agencies for unpaid subscriptions?

There has been some discussion about this in the demon.service newsgroup - for example under "How bad does it have to be, to violate the Trades Descriptions Act?".

That is if you can find it amongst all the moans about the service over the last few days

Exclamation

Cant moan about the service its been working fine. Its their attitude to it all - they didnt collect - clearly my fault - register my name with debt collection agency - leaving me with a potential credit problem when its their fault.

Me thinks bye, bye demon!

Contact Demon (via registered post) requesting a satisfactory conclusion to the matter (however appropriate). Hopefully some other BBS members can make suggestion what to include, but explain the background, who failed to collect, how you want it fixed etc. If via Direct Debit, you probably have safeguards so check with your bank. Regarding credit rating - INSIST that your record is corrected, check (with Experian and Equifax) you details later to confirm. You can always add an explanatory note to your credit record to say what happened. You may also be able to contact some ombudsman (Oftel??) to get independent support.

Maybe also put a similar post in Non-Scooby Related as to how to protect you credit rating!
