Most of the free web hosting sites insist on adverts all over your pages and annoying pop ups etc.
For anything even approaching professional, best go to a site that charges, but gives you complete control over what is displayed on your pages.

Salsa,
Business Link are the people who you can get funding through. I just got funding for one of my websites and the designer who sorted it is also working on the following URL - http://www.wilsonyachtmanagement.com
If you want a very visual site, I would recomend him without a doubt, http://www.swimdesign.co.uk is his site. Drop him an e-mail, I'm sure he'll help you out.
As for hosting, I use www.titaninternet.co.uk Lee Christies company, for a very professional hosting service.
regards
Stuart

Like peccy said most companys will host your site for free if they design it as they stick it on their own space and point the URL to it! The only time I would charge for hosting was if the client wanted a forum or something else Bandwidth hungry setting up!
I personally use www.netweaver.com for my hosting, so far the service has been excellent.
With regards, to how quick I guess how long is a piece of string!! Depends on what you want m8!
P.S I don't have the dump valve any more, that RS Trubo noise was doing my head in!
