I have been setting up a new email account in outlook to check another mail box. When I go to the original accout (I have deleted the new one) it prompts me for post office, name and password. When I type these in and click the save password option it does not save them, and I have retype every time I access Outlook. I am running windows 2000, office 2000 on 2000sbs.
Any ideas
Cheers

Well known problem.
Here's a fix.....
http://attila.stevens-tech.edu/ita/faq.html#Q.%20Outlook%20keeps
and....
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/tips/xp_oe_passwords.htm (for XP, but very similar)
and here.....
http://help.att.net/docs/use/email/msole/prb_msol_w95-3x_pwdprompt.htm?customercontent=customer_email&fo rmType=FAQ
told you it was well known ;-)
Hope one of them fixes your problem.
I used the last one shown to fix mine some time back on Win98.
