A better bricking.
I can't believe Apple would do something like that, it's gonna destroy small businesses and ruin the lives of users everywhere. We should start a class action suit and sue them for all they're worth (until which point I'll be sharpening my pitchfork and lighting a few torches).
Just make sure you at least part pay with a credit card folks
That way you'll have a chance getting some money back when it all goes **** up
( Iv fcuked up big style here)

No idea and obviously Apple's QA didn't see fit either. But I can tell you who'll do it, the same kids that bent a load of iPhones and even more people who see "Get this extra feature by changing your date" written on a picture of a cat.

What's even funnier is that there are Apple users dumb enough to believe that.
Even though there is no practical reason to do so, evidently people are doing this!
But whatever you do, don't take it to a third party repairer to fix this, it'll ruin Apple's massive profit margin.

You don't think there are dumb users that don't use Apple products, I wish I had time to point a few things out but here's one. Back when I knew a lot about Antivirus my favourite macro virus was called Polite, it was named that because it asked if you wanted to be infected, it was a very successful virus.
Dates prior to epoch have to work for most things so it's hard to fathom what happened here. I'm sure it will become clear as the day progresses.

It's quite a strange one, you can't set the date to anything before epoch. Be bloody careful, I nearly forgot to put mine back to automatic

Pretty sure I've read that that's normal and shouldn't be a problem. I would think a fix would be easy and rapid, but that's assumption.

I totally agree, there are a lot of dumb people out there who put a lot of trust in technology, mostly because these people don't fully understand the technology they're using and blindly accept what they're told by someone "more knowledgeable". A good friend of mine used to work for Dr Solomons and some of the stuff he told me beggars belief.
