I use the gmail app but I've had enough of it I hate the way it groups all the emails together. I have turned off conversation view in settings and it makes no difference. I just want an email client that will show email in date order and no grouping. It must do IMAP and be able to do gmail.

So what's the best client on android?

Looks like I will have to use the Outlook app, the gmail one will just not stop showing messages in conversation view and is utterly useless. It's the same on both phone and tablet and settings on both are set to conversation list to off and also been into gmail settings through web log in and conversation list is off there too but still can't list messages in non conversation view

weird as mine is fine, I guess you have mucked about with settings and it has sync`d those settings to all your devices, sort the issue and one device and it should be fine.

All devices are set to non conversation view though and drives me nuts.

I use an app called Nine on my android, it allows you to run the app an encrypted in order to fool corporate exchange servers that require the phone to be encrypted.
