Default Sony z3+

Been using s Z3+ for about a fortnight now, it's needs charged around every 2 days. My gripe is that it takes over 8 hours to fully charge from around 20% battery life remaining. Is this a bug or anyone else finding the same thing.

I thought this may improve after the first few charges, but no improvement yet.

I have the Z3 mini, a full charge can last me 7 days, but it doesn't get that much use.
Recharging via the magnetic charging port is about 4 hours for a full charge.

I have the Z3 and it doesn't take 8 hours, nearer 2.5 with the official Sony charger that came with it.

Cheers guys - will be taking this back to the O2 store from whence it came tomorrow, with 10% charge remaining using the supplied cable on a USB2 port it is taking 14 hours to fully charge with software initially reporting 12 hours to full charge. I cant work with a device which takes so long to get back to a useable state.

That's your problem charging from a usb 2 port will be painfully slow as output is only 500mA. Didn't it come with the fast charger?

Even using some no name cable can slow the charging down, you usually have to use a charging only cable to make use of faster charging rates.
My phone uses qualcomm quick charge 2.0, but i have to use the supplied cable, nothing else i have here will work with it.

Amazing when it does work mind, 0-50% in 30 minutes.

Yeah don't use USB 2 its low voltage, you need the proper charger...

Its like charging an Ipad with an IPhone charger takes forever, charge a iPhone with an Ipad charger mines at 100% in an hr...

USB should be used when your working or just want to top it up...

Although i hate android i have to say the Sony units battery life is magnificent and can last 7 days easy on standby and a full day of talking only takes half its life, the Samsung would have died ages ago
