Previously only a beta available on Android and you could only use Chrome, so yes that's great...

Can i use it on my laptop? Can't seem to find how it works?

yes browse to https://web.whatsapp.com/


You then get your phone to read the code, you may need to update Whatsapp for iPhone, then open it, choose settings cog icon on bottom right, then 'Whatsapp web'

Ok cheers, doesn't seem to be an update just yet. But then i will be able to sign in using whatsapp web browser?

Yes


Apparently I'm using Whatsapp version 2.12.5, on iOS 8.4 as per Appstore's update history which it says happened on Aug 17th

Ah see whats wrong, my old iphone was iPhone 4 which wouldn't have been running latest apple software, i now have new iphone so should work on that once get it unlocked.
