'page not responding' message

Default 'page not responding' message

every page I open I get the same message, 'page not responding' sometimes it loads eventually other it doesn't..

scoobynet is not responding
skynews is not responding

same message ALL the time and its getting on my **** now.. does anyone know a solution

It sounds like a broadband problem, are you using wifi or is it connected direct via an ethernet cable ?

If its direct your broadband providers service maybe playing up which would be out of your hands, if its via wifi try re-setting and rebooting your router. Scoobynet is slow for me at the min and i have quick broadband, no problems with other websites.

cheers im on wifi so ill look at resetting the router

Clear the cache and cookies in your web browser as well.

reset the router and cleared the cache but non of those worked

I wonder if you have malware / a browser hijack, have you any third-party toolbars installed?

also if you have several different browsers do they all do the same (firefox, chrome, IE, opera etc). Can you get to your router ok (usually 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.254)
