Bored with my phone
I used to get 12 month contracts but the price and minutes/data got that bad I had to get 2 year contracts. I still have a year left on my contract so it's time to buy a phone. I'm after a used phone that is better than the Samsung s5.
I don't care if it's apple or android I just don't want to spend more than £400 and has to be bigger than 16gb.
What's a top end phone to get that will last me 10 months before my upgrade?

Don't get the iPhone 6 Steve .
Utter w@nk , the fingerprint unlock never works (in our trade) , every day I have to put it on airplane mode to re search for a signal....never had this problem on iPhone 4 or 5 so it's defenatly the phone and not w@nk vodaphone .
Utter ****e phone.
I'm going to try a Samsung next even though I've had apple for the past 4 years.

Everything, just after a different phone but has to be better than what I have.
Donni, I have fingerprint on my phone but I won't use it as I tried it and got rid of it as it could take three swipes to unlock the phone and if the screen was damp. I put the phone back to normal that day
Tbh my phone is huge and the note 4 isn't really that much bigger so I'm slightly leaning towards that?

Donny take it back mate, you should not have to do this, faulty phone. you have run all the updates and done a reset I presume a proper hard reset ?
My 6 is the best yet, screens much better for my eyes, lighter and fitted with a spigen case its great.
Steve if it was my Money it would be an IPhone 6 from Ebay, failing that Z3
I have the Z2 and S4 but dusty as I hate android, it works ok but not as slick or user friendly as Apple shizzle....
Ebay will have some hunt but its gonna be 500 plus ish

if your with 3 they will and do offer you early upgrades if you pay half whats left, they pay other half. its what I did....

IMO bigger is better when it comes to a phone, i used to have a Galaxy S3 then i moved to a Galaxy Note 3 and havn't looked back, its a fantastic phone so the Note 4 will be even better. At first it felt big, after a few weeks it just felt like a normal phone size wise, they are brilliant for watching youtube clips, TV and also great for sat nav with the large screen.

Went from Iphone to an Htc one m8, which I love. The freedom of android is great plus memory cards are pretty cheap now.
M8 is still a great phone, but the new m9 is out now too. Much better build quality than the samsungs, plus you get the great speakers

What about the LG G3; top spec flagship phone with 5.5" QuadHD display, 32GB + microSD, 2.5Ghz Snapdragon 801, with one of the best camera for a phone. Can be had for around £250 or less now.

If your unlucky enough to have it delivered by Parcelforce at this end they charge you £8 on top to deliver it, they call it an admin fee. They won't deliver it until you've received their notification through the post and then phone them to pay the £8.

I've managed to pick up an Elephone P7000 (seriously...) for $159 delivered from focalprice as part of the presale launch event. It's a 5.5" full HD screen, 3 gb ram, fingerprint sensor, octa core processor, 3450 mah battery, 13 mp camera with Sony sensor, on paper its a steal for £100. Normal price is $229, but there's a flash sale every week where you can pick them up for $159 if you're lucky.
Focalprice are pretty popular in the UK and it should sneak under the import tax radar.
If it's junk it'll end up on eBay.

I couldn't cope with the stigma of owning an Iphone

I'm now stuck between two phones? I can get a new Note 4 for about £400 or buy a used iphone 6 with 64gig storage for £450.
Jonc, the LG G3 isn't any better than my current phone possibly a step down and if I bought a better phone I would rather just give the s5 to my missus.

The LG phones always seem to have good specs on paper but don't work that way in real life so drop in price very quickly so buying a new one is a good way of wasting a lot of cash.
I still need resale as I'm due a new phone on my contract next april.

Note 3/4: Amazing user experience, fantastic vivid large screen, the phone is a pleasure to use without apple dictating how you download and customise it.
Iphone: Best re-sale value if that's your main requirement, plenty of isheep queing up to pay over the odds for one.

Well I bought a Note 4 as most of the new phones dont seem to have sd card support and th9se that do only support 1080p. Im waiting for a case to arrive before I start using it but to be honest apart from the extra internal storage there doesnt seem to be that much of a leap as compared to my s5.
Even the screen isnt that much better, I think the iphone would of been more of a change but I wasnt prepared to pay the costs for even the 64gig iphone. With my memory card in the note 4 now has about 146gig of usable space and about 50gig left.
