Amazon fail to deliver my copy of GTA 5

Angry Amazon fail to deliver my copy of GTA 5

Ordered for the Xbox One for my son's birthday and paid extra for it to be delivered today.

No bloody sign of it and no tracking information.
After being passed to a call centre in Bangladesh or somewhere, where the guy barely spoke English, not much further forward either.

Each order has an estimated delivery date by which the parcel should be delivered. If a parcel hasn't arrived by then, we'll ask you to wait a little longer in case of unexpected and/or unforeseen delays. How long we'll ask you to wait is calculated based on the delivery method you chose.

For your order #205-1827595-0233953 we won't ask you to wait beyond 21 November 2014. We ask you to wait until then because this order may reach you before a replacement order would. Creating a replacement order at this stage may result in you having to return one of the items. We'd expect your order to have been delivered by this date.

Guy at work had the same issue with an Xbox game from Amazon that was released last week. Amazon seem to struggle with this recently.

Sometimes not worth the bother.. tesco had a huge display right inside the door with about 500 copies on it today.

I downloaded mine on Sunday night from the XBO store and it was downloaded Monday.

I had no problems

Mine came ok but mate got his on the 18th from tesco for £42. Admittedly did get £6 on price protection so actuslly ended up as £38.

OP not sure why you paid extra for release day delivery as standard delivery includes this as part of pre order deal. Unless you ordered very last minute?

I tend to use gameseek now, pretty good I must say, or Asda near me has everything

Ask amazon to refund the carriage as you paid extra for delivery and it didnt arrive in time.

TBH i have always found their customer service to be very good and they have always resolved issues quickly and to my satisfaction

They did mate, and another 4 quid on top.

Turned up the next day, my son wanted it pre ordered because you got extra cash in the game or something like that.

Yeah they can't be perfect all the time. I'm a Prime member and
usually they are excellent even delivering stuff on a Sunday. They've not delivered next day twice in the last 2 weeks (post is getting busy I imagine) and on both occasions they have extended my Prime membership for an extra month as compensation.
