mobile phone numbers database?
#1
I am hoping to nip something in the bud by posting this.
Is there a reverse directory for mobile numbers as I wish to find out who is the registered user for a certain number. Or failing that is there a way to find out which mobile network a dial code is for?
cheers ian

you used to tell by the prefix which network a phone was conected too. Now you can port numbers to different networks, this is now not the case.
However, if you can get hold of an older list, the chances are that most numbers have not been ported, and you can tell which network the phone is on.

Hello
It depends what you are trying to do.
Some idiot diverted their mobile phone to my home phone number and I was getting calls all through the night.
I phoned my service provider, asked them to help me. They told me the network. I then phoned that networks customer service and got it sorted. Surpisingly painless.
