Default Windows login password

Guys

Do any of you clever fellows know if its possible to reset a windows login password.

Its someone's personal laptop, basically the owner of said laptop has passed away and no one knows what his password is.

I know I could recover the data by sticking the drive in a caddy etc, but resetting the password would be great

Cheers

Trinity Rescue Kit is an easy way of doing it. It's a Linux live CD. I normally use Kali Linux, though it's a tiny bit more involved. TRK has a menu that pretty much does it all for you.

" Reset Windows Password " - Literally just burn it, boot to it and click remove password.
