Default Google drive question.

I have installed google drive on my laptop. I have put four folders from my documents into my google drive folder by copy and paste. I can now access them from my phone.
Is it possible to automatically synce the folder in google drive with the same folders in my documents so if i add a file in my docs, it is also added to my google drive folder, and by default available on my phone.

Just save your files to the Google Drive folder instead of my documents?

Where will the files actually be stored. On your pc or on google's servers. Say they are on googles servers, and the server gets corrupted, have you lost them.

Both. They are stored locally, then synced with the cloud servers. If you want to only store to the cloud then you can upload files through a browser. Any other computer you have Google Drive installed on can also download and sync files automatically. Mobile devices tend not to do this because of storage and data restrictions.
