Question Problems with my moby...am I being bull-shined?

Samsung GT-S6810p "Galaxy Fame".

Three weeks ago, sent away for repair, kept freezing, refusing to turn on, refusing to make or accept calls and texts. Cleared by removal and replacement of battery and SIM card.

Got a new replacement since it wasn't repairable. Within a week it's done the same thing FOUR times.

Rang and Virgin and they say it's probably caused by the memory card.....

So they want to me to monitor it without the card in place, then back up all the music on the card and format the card, replace the music one album at a time checking if the problem recurs. Since there are over a hundred albums on it, That's two-years' work......(allowing a week each time to monitor it all).

Am I being shone on here?

The same card has been in three phones and had no problems EXCEPT in a Galaxy Fame...this one and it's predecessor. It's a Sandisk Micro 16GB Type 4.

Yet they claim it's the card, NOT the phone.

Any comments?

They say not...they say it's happened with OTHER handsets and are not willing to change it.
Got 13 months of contract left.

Won't be renewed.

Well the memory card is out, I'll monitor it for a few days, but the first time it freezes, (and it will), I'll be back to them.

I also have TV, internet and phone with them, so they stand to lose an awful lot.....about £90 a month at last reckoning.

Might be a bit of bargaining power?

Something on the card.

The next thing they will try will be downloaded apps.

They just want my money........well, they can have it, for another 13 months, then it will be gone.

And in the meantime, so will the £60 a month Virgin get for other services.

CRAP greedy company.......they sell me the same as I get in France for £15 more, plus in France ALL my calls, home and abroad are free, and NO line rental.

No wonder that toothy b@stard is grinning on all his adverts..........
