Deano - you know there is only one solution to all you troubles 
As I said before - tap into a free wireless ISP (hotspot)
All you need is a fairy bottle (empty ) some bluetak, colouring pencils, wireless card, 4m's of string, tinfoil and a hot'n'spicy pringles tube.
If you want I can locate the longitude & latitude of your nearest friendly WISP

Unfortunately in some parts of the country, limiting house choice to those areas with ADSL gives you no choice at all.
As much as the wife enjoys browsing the web occasionally I dont think shed sacrifice views across 5 miles of countryside - so I can d/l sh*t quicker
