Sticker removal
Hi guys just bought another scoob and it's covered in stickers and as it's an sti ra and not my thing I need to remove them. The paint underneath looks pretty good and I'd like to preserve it as much as I can. What's best to use spray glue remover/ heat gun I have access to both but need to get it right because I did this on another car and it took all the paint off.

Is it a proper heat gun you have or a hair dryer, if it's a heat gun then be careful, these can be vicious things, keep the heat setting low and don't get too close.
If it's a hair dryer then these are not as bad, but still take care.

It's a proper heat gun on low setting. Was thinking hair dryer cus I just bought the misses a new one so I can f@@k the old one up. Might be wiser to use hair dryer better be safe than sorry. I tried boiling water on my old scoob and it took the paint off

I tried a different technique on every panel on mine
Heat gun is great to get them started but what I found is let the car sit in the sun for a while then very slowly peel away. Takes more of the sticky residue with the decal. I then used a mix of loctite 7070 cleaner for the real stubborn bits of residue and meguiars paint cleaner for the rest.
Took me about a week to do, depending on the ages quality of the decals same with the paint work makes a huge difference.
Get a nice comfy chair and a case of beer and your good to go
