Washing car in hot weather ?

Is it OK to wash the car in hot weather / direct sunlight ??

My car is very grubby after a fortnights driving in Scotland and I want to wash it, trouble is its been lovely and sunny every day recently and I dont know if its bad for the paint etc. to wash it in the sun.

Any advice ?

wash it in the evening when the sun has gone down , i never wash mine in the direct sunlight !

Surely you can find some shade, and with the high winds at the moment I dont think it would be an issue.

I normally wash my car down the side of the house with the two bucket method where its shaded
