Default Bilt Hamber clay residue

This is my first attempt claying with this stuff & using just plain water as lube, do I just mop up the residue with a microfibre & move straight on to the polishing or can I leave the residue & Just give the car a quick wash over after or is it best to do both? I shall not be drying the car upon coming clay it, thanks

I always re-wash the car after claying, as you say residue is left behind and you dont want to "rub back into" that freshly decontaminated paint

You might find the process easier though if you use something more slippery as the lube, even if its just a solution of diluted car shampoo, it will prevent the clay dragging on "dry bits"

Cheers for the reply mate so your just saying don't bother moping any up whilst claying & just clean everything off at the end with a wash when finished? Cheers

Yep, pretty much, just concentrate on each small area and clean up after, dont forget though at the end it will be completely un protected - but soooooooooo smooth!

Seriously though a slippery lube will help you with the process

On one of our regular sunny days (lol) you could always rinse down a panel if you think its really going to dry out, but I tend to simply wash the car again at the end and enjoy how much better the paint now feels!

And that is why you dilute it, it shouldnt cost you much at all, and you should really have s quick detailer in your kit, shouldnt you?

the above clay bar doesnt have quick detailer supplied with it unlike the mequiars! so a simple solution ive found is whats posted above works well better than just water. i do have quick detailer so yes it can be used if preferred
