The Meguiars Hyper Wash seems a little expensive to use just as a snow foam
What about this one below anyone tried?

Any cheap shampoo GG, about an inch topped up with warm water Snow foam is not that great IMHO.

Megs Hyper will last forever, if you look at the dilution ratios you'll see why.

Use it as an opportunity to moderate yourself I really don't like Snow Mixes....

I just bought some of this for foam gun prewashing...

Mmmmmmmm flash Are you still using the Dodo juice wax?
What dont you like regarding the snow foam?
Not sure about using a pre wash containing wax , currently using Sour Power shampoo which already adds a little Carnauba wax

The snow foams I have used smell poor and are expensive in comparison to high ratio shampoos. Hyper wash gives amazing foam.

Go for this then, it's looks for all intents and purposes a rebranded bottle of Maxi Suds II !

http://shop.autobritedirect.co.uk/3d...llon-296-p.asp

If you look at the rest of the range it's another clone of the much respected Chemical Guys stuff.

Dodo rocks mate

If you order from someone that does IronCut, get some for your wheels, **** me it's amazing !

Not sure about using it on my wheels yet as I need them refurbed, but I will try it when done. I guess you can use it on the body work to

I use Megs Hyperwash but tend to use around 2 inches for a nice thick foam.

But then I only have a Karcher pressure washer - if you have a better washer like a Kranzle then I dare say an inch will be enough.

Meguiar's Hyper Wash is our only recommended snow faom - there are reasons for that.

Essentially, it is the best value yet most effective snow foam which will not strip existing protection.

I recently priced it per litre against A.N Other 'snow foam':

AN Other snow foam: light soil dilution ratio: 25:1 water/product (or 15:1 heavy soil)

5litres at £14.99 plus £15.94 shipping = £30.93.

At light soil dilution, 5 litres equals 125 litres of solution.

Meguiar's Hyper Wash: standard dilution is 400:1 (water/product).

3.78litres at £29.99 plus £8.95 standard next day shipping = £38.94. (Or come in past and pick it up: shipping is zero then.....)

3.78litres @ 400:1 = 1,512lires of solution

Cost per litre for Hyper Wash at 400:1 (assuming shipping at £8.95) = 0.025 pence per litre (yes, 0.025)

If it's picked up (no shipping) cost per litre is 0.019 pence per litre.

Cost per litre for AN Other Foam at 25:1 = 0.247 pence per litre so almost ten times the cost.....

One thing I'll say with the hyper wash, DO NOT let it dry onto the paint work!

What strength do you use it at?

All shampoos etc shouldn't be allowed to dry onto paint but Hyperwash shouldn't stain or streak any more than any other.

I would recommend Hyperwash - only need 2 skoots in the snowfoam bottle and then fill the container half full with hot water and get 2x snowfoams from that.

I may have been very generous when I pumped it into the foam lance....

I thought the whole point of Hyperwash was you didn't need snowfoam?

John,

Just as a rough idea, what amount of Megs hyperwash would you put in a 1 litre bottle - the same as your PA lance bottle?

A measurement in cm or inches would be best but failing that an amount in ml would sufice!

Thanks

Roughly 3/4 of an inch at most. Sometimes weaker if you can get away it it as there is obviously variation in power washers.

(Hyperwash is a snow foam - it just doesn't have the words snow and foam in its name)

I don't quite agree with the above. Have you tried to wash a car with snow foam as the shampoo? They are 2 completely different products imo. Hyperwash is a superb high concentration shampoo and can also be used in place of snow foam. But it just doesn't work the other way around. I run out of Hyperwash one day and thought I pop a generous splosh of SF in the wash bucket. I gave up in the end. Rinsed the car off and waited for my Hyper to turn up.

I think we actually agree (ish).

I'd never try to use a snow foam as a shampoo.

Hyper Wash is designed for use through a foam lance - Meguiar's describe it as a pre-wash foaming agent.

Thanks John.

Just goes to show what has been mentioned before - Hyperwsh won't strip LSP's (in my case Werkstatt) if over used!

I've always used around 1 1/2 + inches and it's never stripped the Werkstatt at all

Ah this may be where I went wrong. I got carried away and prob put at least 2" in there.
I didn't get it off quick enough in the blazing sunshine (when I started the car was in shade but the boot ended up in direct sunlight) Once I'd cleared off the dried stuff it had left what looked like deep water marks.
I've tried at least 4 passes of hand worked Mez 203S and it looks a lot better but at the correct angle I can still see them.

Try an IPA wipedown first: http://www.polishedbliss.co.uk/acata...cohol-ipa.html then try another go with Menz 203S if you can still see marks.

Probably a combination of too strong a mixutre, hot paintwork and blazing sun conspired against you.
