Default How to remove/hide scratches on interior trim?

Does anyone know how to remove or hide scratches from an Impreza interior?

I have a MY05 Impreza WRX and have a few scratches on the outside of the glove box and the back of the centre box behind the handbrake (caused by kids shoes when sitting in the back).Apart from these the car is mint.

The scratches are fairly minor yet I haven't been able to mask them with any interior cleaning product I've tried.

I've never owned a car where the interior scratches so easily, probably due to the cheap matt plastic.

Depending on how bad they are and how carefull you are you may be able to take the edge off them with some 2000 grit wet and dry paper then go over with some Poorboys Natural Look dressing.

Post up some pics though so we can give better advice.

I'll see if I can borrow a camera (mines knackered) and post some pictures.

The scratches are fairly minor without any depth, they're more like just surface marks almost as if someone had used a light grey pencil and drawn them on.

If the interior was shiny black rather than matt I'm sure they'd be easy to cover up with the right product. Everything I've tried so far just cleans but doesn't cover any marks up.

I'm sure this must be a fairly common problem on the Impreza as I can't believe my kids are any worse than others. I've not had this problem with any other car I've owned but they have all had better quality interiors.
