Default Keeping my alloys in good order

Hi all,

Just got myself some new alloys: OZ UltraLeggeras *bling*

They're in very good order; look like new, so I'd kinda like to keep em that way!

Was thinking that I should give them a quick once over clean before giving them a good coat of wax to try and stop the brake dust building up.

I've always used autoglym in the past, but am anxious to avoid anything that might be abrasive to the wheels. Any opinions on this package?

Autoglym Wheel Cleaning Car Wash Kit from Halfords Price £19.99 3 For 2 On ALL Car Cleaning Products

Any advice would be appreciated.

Ta.

I've used AG wax in the past cant remember wot wax went on em last time they were waxed, the trick is once you've waxed em is to wash your wheels regular (ordinary car shampoo) to stop the dust from baking on.. As fer cleaning them initially to remove brake dust be carefull wot you use certain wheel cleaners cant be used on certain wheel finishes

Try a couple of coats of poorboys wheel sealant it forms barrier and the dust don't stick to the rim and then just wash with normal car wash. i've also used bilburry wheel cleaner which you can dilute down and is gentle on the wheels and thats very good. And get yourself a tidy wheel brush and wash frequently

Never used a brush to clean mi alloys, once had a really thick, super dense foam sponge fooked if I know wot happened to it, it sucked dirt off the wheels like there wuz no tomorrow.I rate Wonder wheels (once your wheels are clean and waxed, you should'nt have to use the stuff again providing you wash yer wheels regular)but you have to make sure its compatable wi yer wheels. The stuff comes in two different varietys, stuff fer painted wheels an stuff fer poished wheels..

Wash them using a Meguiars Microfibre wash mitt, once dry apply several coats of Jeffs Prime strong, then several coats of Poorboys wheel sealant and dress the tyres with Blackfire long lasting tyre gel.May look like alot of hassle but worth it in long run.
