Default Spot free rinse aid????

I remember a few years back you could buy a "rinse aid" at Halfords. You simply added a capfull of this stuff to a watering can and sprinkled your car which resulted in a water spot free finish. Is there still anything like this on the market?
Reason i ask is that i took the car through a carwash (i know that's swearing here ) and that had a spot free finish option which has worked really well

You can buy the Flash car wash accessories which include a water filter cartridge which helps prevent water spots

You can get an expensive water filter Mark, around £40 IIRC.

yeah a inline water filter will take the lime out of the water and leave you more or less spot free - as above not cheap though

Cheers chaps. I've never actually washed my car since i'm moved into the new house so i guess i'll have to see how spotty my water is
The inline filter thingy looks good though

Do the water filters last for ever? do they just need a clean every now and then?

From what I have read, it depends on the make/model you buy - some have a fixed life expectancy, others can be cleaned. Probably wise to do a far bit of homework before buying, otherwise if could become expensive!
