WHAT WAX?
After trying most of the off the shelf products inc, Autoglym extra deep gloss/super resin/extra gloss protection, meguiars liquid gold, mer, auto smart platinum, zymol, turtle wax clear vue & colour magic with the later giving the best results IMO, i will probably continue to use the colour magic on the front area due to road rash, bearing in mind i polish the car alot can anyone recomend a product that will give the car the best gloss? its mica black btw

as other ppl have said mate....Dodo is amazing stuff.... when i detail my scoob i tend to polish with Menz 85RD as its not too agressive on the thin paint, then apply a coat of Purple Haze, leave it a few hours and apply another coat... if i cud afford supernatrual id love to have a go with it! This is after only 1 coat a few weeks ago before we spent the weekend @ skeg:
The DoDo Red Mist product is also an excellent top up spray!

I got the Red Mist but aint used it as yet. Even putting just a coat of Supernatural over the top of the Swissvax proved how good it was. Can't wait to do the full detail!! Wash, Clay, Lime Prime, Supernatural then the Red Mist. Gonna be a long day me thinks when i DO get round to it

Blackfire Midnight Sun is virtually unbeatable on dark metallics, as it not only gives massive gloss, but its high polymer content also makes your flake pop in the sun (which most other pure carnauba waxes don't do). This picture is a great summary of what I mean in terms of the balance between gloss and flake pop...
More info and images can be viewed on this link, which explains the reasons why this wax works so well on dark metallics compared to other products...

Tomorrow, with a bit of luck - the pallet is working its way through customs right now. On WR Blue, Midnight Sun does indeed give a similar degree of glossiness, although the flake pop isn't quite so pronounced (as the flake in WR Blue is finer). I don't have any images of it on WR Blue to hand, but I do have these to give you an idea...

Don't forget that what your looking at from the boys at Polished Bliss is not purely a quick wax, it's a few days work, with a whole lot more involved. Have a look at they're site and prepare to be V impressed. Just don't expect to get that quality of finish with just the Blackfire wax

Update: as posted on twitter yesterday, our latest incoming pallet from the USA with Blackfire and Lake Country pads on board has been held up in customs, and is not expected to be with us before the 25th. This obviously means the Midnight Sun won't be available again until the 26th - sorry for the delay in this, just one of those (frustrating) things.

Gotta be honest unless your cars been machine polished dont rate midnight sun find it pretty much the norm-try 2 coats of sonus sfx4 or blackfire wet diamond all finish paint protection followed with 1 coat of chemical guys petes 53/collinite 915 wax-both sealants/waxes will give you stunning results by hand.

i love zymol for my cars
I use thelehm clay - with the proper lube, then the hd clense... then Zymol Carbon wax.
I get a great finish - i love it.
Most Wash and shine stuff doesn't get all the road residue on the surface, road films, sap, etc etc, your paint will still feel rough and grab your fingers as you run over it.
however, using the clay occaisionally and the HD cleanse , removes all of this, so you get a proper surface to wax.... then its as smooooooth as well, a smoooth thing. no swirls, etc etc.
I really love the stuff.
But as said here before - it is not just the wax that does it. for me u need the clay every 6k miles or so and then the cleanse - then the wax will work wonders

I've got the same colour Scoob and Collinite 915 works a treat. The blue pops wells and when the sun goes in the black looks dripping wet! I've no facility to use a hose and when bucket cleaned today the water just sheeted off after 2 1/2 weeks without a wash (an extreme rarity for me!)
I can't recommend it enough: just make sure you do one panel at a time because although I haven't experienced it for myself, some people have spent hours trying to get it off once left too long- be warned!
