Blackfire and a new camera....
Just purchased a nice new SLR camera, so thought I'd get used to it with some car pics, of course !!
Had some spare time recently so got to work on my own car for a change.
I gave the car a full detail back at the turn of the year, thoroughly cleansed inside/outside/under bonnet and paint machined. So with the car having done probably a whole 600 miles since then was just aiming to strip off the old wax (bodywork still smooth - check!) to put on some new Blackfire items recently purchased from pb. That and quickly buffing up the wheels (which will have only done about 300 miles since being put back on after winter) and shining up the chrome.
Wet Diamond All Finish Protection as base layer then 3 coats (so far) of Blackfire Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba Paste Wax.
A couple of quick pics (remember I'm just getting used to the world of SLR) :
1st one assisted by the reflection off my wifes red car:
A few little reflection shots :
And to finish :

Good god, black is an amazing colour to show of a shine. The reflections are fantastic, some look to have a chrome finish.
BlackFire range is very good I find to, love the midnight sun wax.
Well done on all your hard work to keep the car looking in tip top condition

I may be corrected for this reply, but what I did was :
Usual safe wash method,
Bung on some gloves as the tardis is strong stuff,
Car can still be wet, spray the bodywork lightly with tardis,
Leave for a couple of mins,
Wipe lightly off any tar that has ran with e.g.Microfibre Work Towel (not sure if this is really necessary or if it causes any paintwork marking??) - the towel is best thrown away now as it'll stink,
At the end re-wash all the car thoroughly again - you should likely see a difference with the way the water sit/runs off the car on rinse from when it was waxed.
Hope it works out okay for you. Post a pic or two when you get it re-waxed.

Really like that.
I've got some of the Menzerna Intensive Polish which I'm gonna attack my metallic graphite grey 205 with (again) which will help irradicate some swirl marks. But I'm gonna have to get some of the Blackfire Gloss Enhancing Polish to apply between the cutting polish and my wax of choice (Autoglym HD Wax). That is obscenely glossy. I really love the front headlight reflection/bonnet shots - that is dirty
Ah well, when I've got the monies

Yeah, as above, neat.
Usual recommendations about NOT doing it in strong sunlight.
You'll get on fine. If you've tar spots on your alloys spray some on there first and sit and watch the tar melt, give you a quick intro to the stuff.

Cheers Rich, comments like that from such as yourself always a big compliment. Really just passing on the info I think I pick up from your advice.
If I remember right, not long till my July'08 winning entry must be about to disappear - these are better pics too ! Re-entry ?
Another order in this week...half the stuff for my father this time as he gears up for buying his first retirement car - although quite pleased he's planning on looking after it properly given he's offering to help me out and pick up the right way to keep a clean car !!
