Smile Silicone Spray / Lubricant , good stuff!

Fantastic Stuff! Can be bought from Halfords etc, basically a oily lubricant ideal for squeeky windows etc, but as it dosent contain any abrasives (I dont think anyway) its ideal for bringing plastics and rubbers back to life!

Stuff such as WD40 contain things that does have abrasives, for example WD40 is good for removing adhesives off paintwork left behind from vinyl stickers or badges. Wouldnt reccommend WD40 as a shining liquid.

I gave everything under the bonnet a good clean then covered any electrical parts with cling film then gave gave it all a quick once over with the Silicone Spray and viola, everything looks shiny and dark again. Brilliant for giving those white stained, faded engine hoses a decent tart-up!

Not sure how long the effect lasts but certainly good for a quick shine!

Also good for the exterior plastics and rubbers around the car, eg, window sills, mudflaps, wipers and front black splitters etc...

Good stuff me thinks!
Anyone else used it?

Default

I dont rate it TBH as dirt and dust sticks to it - it also smells horrid and when it rains it streaks like hell - also if used on your dash it has a daft shine then all the dust sticks to it

used to use it years ago - never again
